What was the Star of Bethlehem?

Is Matthew 2 more than just an historic account of the Wise Men’s visit to the toddler Messiah?

Could it also contain a prophesy of a future event?

This theory is the result of looking at Matthew 2 from the Wise Men’s point of view and with a different motive than past speculations. Much has been written trying to show that certain ancient records of celestial events were connected to the Star of Bethlehem event in Matthew 2. 

None of them can explain what Matthew 2 catalogs.

I will try to show that this theory meets all those requirements and may produce enough information to warrant a search for this “Star”, as I believe that it is still orbiting around in our Solar System. 

The big question to be answered is “Is the name of this “Star” “Wormwood” and can it be the cause of the Judgments found in Revelation 8:7-12?

There are at least nine criteria that must be met to fulfill what is described in Matthew 2.
